SUMMARY:PLUS Mittagsimpuls der THM: Einsatz digitaler Zwillinge - Praxisbeispiel aus den Laboren für Regelungs- und Automatisierungstechnik an der Hochschule Darmstadt
DESCRIPTION:Referent*innen\n\nAlexander König | Hochschule Darmstadt \n\nZielgruppe\n\nLehrende \n\nInhalt\n\nDurch die Notwendigkeit der präsenzfreien Lehre während der Corona-Pandemie wurden am Fachbereich Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik der Hochschule Darmstadt in den Laboren der Regelungs- und Automatisierungstechnik Digitale Zwillinge von Laborversuchen entwickelt. Auch bei der Rückkehr zu Präsenzlaboren zeigten sich vielfältige Potentiale für den weiteren Einsatz von digitalen Zwillingen in der Lehre. Die Vorteile liegen insbesondere in der unbegrenzten Verfügbarkeit und den kurzen Entwicklungszyklen. Dadurch bieten sich erweiterte Möglichkeiten sowohl für die  studentischen Laborvor- und -nachbereitungen als auch Optionen für Fern- und Remote-Labore sowie Labs-at-Home. \n\nDarüber hinaus wird eine – wenn nötig – schnelle Rückkehr zur präsenzfreien Lehre ermöglicht. Die digitalen Zwillinge stehen nicht im Gegenpol zu realen Versuchsständen\, sondern sollen immer als Ergänzung und Erweiterung der didaktischen und logistischen Möglichkeiten des Labors gesehen werden. \n\nIn diesem Mittagsimpuls werden verschiedene abgeschlossene und in der Entwicklung befindliche digitale Zwillinge sowie die geplante Einbindung dieser in den (Präsenz-)Lehrbetrieb vorgestellt. Anschließend besteht die Möglichkeit\, sich über den Transfer auf die eigene Laborlehre und entsprechenden Aktivitäten an der THM auszutauschen.

Annika Brück-Hübner \n\nZielgruppe\n\nLehrende \n\nInhalt\n\nVITALS: A didactical and methodical introduction in Virtual International Teaching in Higher Education for lecturers and scholars of Social Sciences and Cultural Studies! \n\nThe internationalization of courses at universities is increasingly in demand. Through (virtual) international seminars\, lecturers as well as students can expand their intercultural but also professional competencies\, build international networks and jointly design innovative teaching. In comparison to physical mobility\, digital internationalization is considerably less expensive. Moreover\, it is more inclusive\, flexible and sustainable\, while promoting digital competencies of participants. However\, these innovative teaching formats also entail numerous challenges such as technical and organizational requirements\, special didactical and methodological demands\, as well as performance assessment and certification issues. This cycle of workshops addresses different possibilities for the internationalization of virtual courses\, their potential and associated challenges. It will also present and test (partially) didactical and methodological approaches. The aim of the workshops is threefold. Firstly\, they give participants insights into various possibilities of internationalizing courses. Secondly\, they support attendees with theoretical background knowledge as well as didactical and methodological input. Finally\, they offer practical suggestions for the virtual internationalization of their own courses. \n\nTOPICPerformance assessment in virtual international seminars is often a challenge for two reasons: on the one hand\, accreditation and recognition of performance must be ensured for all students\, regardless of their home university. On the other hand\, the focus of virtual international seminars is usually not only on pure knowledge transfer and thus measurable learning outcomes\, but also includes more complex learning objectives such as intercultural cooperation and intercultural reflexivity. If the journey is seen as the destination\, the whole teaching and learning process requires the inclusion of formative ways of performance measurement and assessment. The ePortfolio is an instrument that can document formative as well as summative learning processes and make them the subject of performance assessment\, and at the same time support processes of (intercultural) exchange and reflection. This workshop will provide a didactical introduction to the use of ePortfolios as a reflection and performance assessment tool in virtual international seminars. \n\nThis event is held in English. \n\nIt should be noted that this event only serves to supplement the HDM certificate and can therefore be credited to a limited extent. Ein gut ausgearbeiteter Datenmanagementplan ist integraler Bestandteil jedes modernen Forschungsvorhabens und hilft\, sich frühzeitig Gedanken um Datenarten\, Datenverarbeitung\, Speicherung\, Datenpublikation\, Rechtsfragen und weitere zentrale Fragen der Forschungsorganisation zu machen. In diesem Modul lernen Sie unter Anleitung einen individuellen Datenmanagementplan (DMP) für Ihr Forschungsprojekt zu erstellen. Anhand praxiserprobter Beispielpläne erhalten Sie einen Einblick welche Elemente ein Datenmanagementplan enthalten sollte und wie Sie das digitale DMP-Tool „RDMO“ nutzen können\, um diesen strukturiert und anpassbar zu verfassen.

DESCRIPTION:Referent*innen\n\nMaraike Büst (Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen)\, Ramin Siegmund (Philipps-Universität Marburg) \n\nZielgruppe\n\nLehrende \n\nInhalt\n\nMit dem Konzept des Labs for Innovative Teaching soll Lehrenden die Möglichkeit gegeben werden\, sich mit neuen Bildungstechnologien\, insbesondere Virtual und Augmented Reality auseinanderzusetzen und so etwaige Berührungsängste und Barrieren abzubauen. Der offene Werkstattcharakter\, der sich an dem Konzept von Makerspaces\, Skills-Labs oder Learning-Labs orientiert\, spielt dabei eine zentrale Rolle. Durch solche Begegnungsorte\, an denen Ideen entstehen und Innovationen entwickelt werden können\, wächst das Bewusstsein für neue Lehr- und Lernumgebungen\, die durch die Bereitschaft zu mehr Flexibilität\, zum Ausprobieren\, zu einer Fehlerkultur und einem hierarchiefreien Miteinander im Umgang mit digitalen Technologien geprägt sind. \n\nIn diesem Mittagsimpuls werden die im Verbundprojekt „NIDIT“ durch die Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre geförderten Labs for Innovative Teaching erläutert und aufgezeigt\, welche Ziele im direkten Austausch mit Lehrenden erreicht werden sollen. SUMMARY:Smart Education in der Informatik – Ein Baukasten für stärkere Aktivierung und Differenzierung
DESCRIPTION:Referent*innen\n\nProf. Dr. Jens Liebehenschel\, Prof. Dr. Jörg Schäfer\, Prof. Dr. Baris Sertkaya und Prof. Dr. Martin Simon \n\nZielgruppe\n\nLehrende \n\nInhalt\n\nWie kann man Studierenden mit unterschiedlichen Bildungshintergründen und Lebenssituationen ein komplexes Fachthema vermitteln? Mit dieser Frage befassten sich vier Professoren der Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Sie entwickelten ein modulares Lehrkonzept\, dessen Erfolg nachweisbar an den verbesserten Noten der Studierenden festzustellen ist.Das modulare Konzept richtet sich nach den Bedarfen der Studierenden: durch eine Kombination aus Teamteaching\, Inverted Classroom\, physischen Exponaten und der Anwendung von Jupyter-Notebooks konnten komplexe Sachverhalte spielerisch vermittelt\, die Aufmerksamkeit der Studierenden besser aufrechterhalten und der großen Diversität der Studierenden entgegengekommen werden.Das Lehrkonzept wurde nun mit dem 2. Preis beim Hessischen Hochschulpreis für Exzellenz in der Lehre ausgezeichnet.In der Präsenzveranstaltung wird das Konzept in ca. 20 Minuten präsentiert und die Exponate können besichtigt werden. Im Anschluss gibt es Zeit für Fragen und vertiefende Diskussionen.Die Teilnahme steht allen Interessierten kostenfrei offen. Die Veranstaltung findet in der Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences statt\, der Raum wird nach Anmeldung mitgeteilt.

On the other hand\, communication requires the consideration of intercultural differences and specificities. \n\nBased on different communication theories and experiences\, this workshop presents challenges resulting from the above changes. Participants are invited to discuss different (didactical and methodological) approaches to support virtual international communication and understanding processes.
